The Mystery of McButton

McButton Clothing started at the end of 2022 when my wife (Kim) and I started making clothing for the Seal Martial Arts Dojo which i run in Rugby, Warwickshire.

We got sick of trying to get clothing made by other suppliers and could never quite get the design we wanted printed so we came to the conclusion that the best way to sort this problem was to learn how to make our own clothing! 

Who knew we would absolutely love making our own clothing?! Then we decided to set up shop and offer the design services we struggled to get our hands on when we were trying to get clothing made for the dojo. 

My specialty may be martial arts but Kims background is in graphics design so it made sense to put her talent to good use!

This is why you will see loads of clothing on the website for the Seal Martial Arts dojo as that mostly what I produce for the students of the dojo.

We can offer a wide range of services at McButton Clothing (We probably should have called ourselves McButton Printing in hindsight) such as HTV clothing, vinyl stickers and decals, embossing, stencils, pyrography, screen printing, sublimation printing and soon we will be able to offer embroidery services (We are just waiting for the machine to be delivered)!

There is a minimal service charge for design services and embroidery setup and as usual terms and conditions apply. We can offer discounts on bulk orders as well, please contact is for a quote. 

So why did we call the business McButton? With me being a martial artist i think most people thought I was joking when i said we were calling it McButton Clothing. I definitely don’t have some long lost Scottish ancestry that I’m unaware of.

The reason we called the shop McButton is one because you’ll remember the McButton name if you need clothing. Two because it was a funny nickname i had when I was younger, I’m not going to explain the story that will remain a mystery but know I was once known as Mcbutton! 😂

So that’s a bit about McButton and how it was formed. We are a new business and have big plans for 2023!
